FAQ

  • What exactly is included in the €695 monthly rent?

The rent covers your private, fully furnished 25 m² studio (own kitchen + bathroom), high-speed Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV, air-conditioning, heating, plus gated garden and on-site laundry. An additional advance is required for electricity and water.

  • Is a security deposit required?

Yes. We ask for a €1,390 deposit, refundable at check-out provided the studio is returned in its original condition.

  • How do I reserve a studio?

Send us a message via the contact form with your preferred arrival date and length of stay. We will email you a short rental application and, once approved, a digital lease. The booking is confirmed after we receive the signed lease and the security deposit.

  • What is the minimum stay?

We prioritise bookings for one university semester (≈ 5 months) or the full academic year. Shorter stays may be accepted if a gap appears in the calendar.

  • How far is the University of Gastronomic Sciences (UNISG)?

The UNISG campus in Pollenzo is about 6 km away; a local bus connects Bra centre with Pollenzo in roughly ten minutes.

  • What transport links are nearby?

    - Bra railway station (regional trains to Turin, Alba, Cuneo) — 100m from the building.

    - Main bus stop — also 100 m.

    - Bike racks inside the gated courtyard; most students cycle to Pollenzo when the weather is good.

  • How do I reach Bra from abroad?

The nearest airports are: Cuneo (CUF) ≈ 25 km, Turin (TRN) ≈ 57 km, and Milan Malpensa (MXP) ≈ 123 km. From any airport you can take a train or FlixBus to Turin, then a regional train to Bra.

  • What shops and services are in the neighbourhood?

    - A full-size supermarket is 100m away.

    - Bra hosts open-air produce markets three days a week — perfect for fresh fruit, vegetables and cheese.

    - Dozens of cafés, bakeries and Slow-Food-inspired restaurants fill the historic centre, famous for being an early hub of the Slow Food movement.

  • What furniture and appliances come with the studio?

Each unit includes: 120 × 200 cm bed, wardrobe, sofa, dining table + chairs, fridge, microwave, induction hob, cookware, cutlery, flat-screen TV, air-conditioning and high-speed Wi-Fi. You also have either a private terrace or direct access to the shared, gated garden.

  • Is laundry available?

Yes. A shared laundry room on the ground floor has a washer and dryer for the four tenants.

  • Are visitors or overnight guests allowed?

Occasional overnight guests are fine, but long-term sub-letting or sharing with an additional full-time occupant is not permitted.

  • Are pets or smoking allowed?

Sorry, no pets and no smoking inside the studios. Smoking is permitted only in the garden.

  • Which documents do I need to rent?

    - Copy of passport or EU ID card

    - Codice Fiscale (Italian tax code); free to obtain at the local tax office.

    - Proof of enrolment at UNISG (or another higher-education institution)

    - Non-EU students staying over 90 days will also need to apply for a permesso di soggiorno (residence permit) within 8 days of arrival; we provide guidance.

  • How do I pay rent?

Rent is due monthly in advance by SEPA bank transfer. An Italian bank account is helpful but not mandatory.

  • Is the building secure?

Yes. Entry is through a locked gate leading to a private courtyard. Each studio has its own front door, and the common areas are lit at night.

  • How many people live in the building?

Only four studios share the property, so the atmosphere is quiet and community-oriented.

  • What is Bra like for students?

Bra is a small city of about 30,000 residents in Piedmont, known for great food, friendly locals and an international vibe thanks to UNISG. Student life revolves around markets, festivals and easy weekend trips to Turin or the Langhe wine hills.
